I am trained in remote and online counselling using different technologies:

I make every effort to provide a safe and secure space for our online work together and use encrypted software and passwords. Please find more information in the Privacy Policy.  Please find additional information in the Client Information Pack about things to consider when choosing which form of remote or online counselling you would like to try. These include considerations such as having a confidential space to be able to engage in therapy remotely or whether you have any visual, auditory or motor skill disabilities that would impact how we communicate remotely, or if you only have a mobile phone to take calls is the reception good enough for an uninterrupted call. Some people like the choice of mixing the different formats and I am really happy to be flexible in whatever ways suit you for our sessions, including mixing remote and online with some face-to-face, in person counselling sessions too.

Remote counselling is becoming more popular all the time and numerous studies and research have found it to be as effective as traditional face-to-face counselling.

If you enjoy engaging online then this format for counselling could work really well for you. Also if you have limited free time; live somewhere rural where travelling is difficult; live in an area too far away from me to attend counselling in person; have no real access to transport or the cost is too much to regularly travel; find leaving home difficult due to health or mobility issues; have a fear of going out due to agoraphobia or social anxiety; have caring responsibilities for children or family members that make it difficult to leave home; are away from home for an extended period of time due perhaps to study or work commitments or during times like the recent pandemic where social distancing is required for everyone’s safety then remote and online counselling is an ideal way to continue or begin therapy.

What my clients say…

“Thank you so much for everything.  This time last year I didn’t think anything in life was possible….Thank you for believing in me….I am a survivor no longer a victim”

“Thank you for being my space to grow.”

“My guilt and the rock in my chest has gone…you have helped me do what I never thought possible…I cannot thank you enough for the work we have done.”

“Thank you for standing by my side and making me feel safe to face the past.”

“You will never ever know how much your help has been appreciated….after ringing all the known places for help and nothing was forthcoming.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“Thank you for every bit of support you have offered me…from the very first email I wrote to you sobbing my heart out not knowing where to turn.”
